“The last 20 years have gone fast! After High School I did the typical college thing, but wasn't very interested in what I was
being taught. I worked for a while at a pre-school while going to Cabrillo part time. I then decided I wanted to be a
manicurist and went to beauty school to get my license. I ended up working in the field for only a short time, got married and
started my family. My husband's name is Gy and he is a local as well. We had our first daughter Lauren who is now 16 and a
Junior at Aptos High. Emma was born a few years later and she is now going to be a Freshman at AHS. While the girls were
little I was fortunate to be home with them and as they got a little older I went back to school part time. When Emma
started kindergarten I started Nursing School at Cabrillo. I graduated in 2000 and became a Registered Nurse. I have been
working at Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center since. I work in the Perinatal Dept, doing Labor and Delivery, post-partum,
and newborn care. I am a Charge Nurse and love my job and find it challenging everyday.
I haven't done much traveling in the last 20 years, kids and work take up a lot of time. My family and I did go to Washington
D.C last summer to have my parents buried in Arlington National Cemetery. It was an amazing experience. I lost them both in
2005. Not having parents anymore is very strange and I miss then everyday.
We still live in Aptos, actually on the same street I grew up on! I would love to hear from you, feel free to email me. Take
